Uber is set to launch an AI assistant for EV-related queries for its drivers in 2025, powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4o. This chatbot aims to help drivers with all their electric vehicle (EV) concerns and questions.
The Details:
AI-Powered Assistant: The assistant will be accessible through the Uber driver app and initially focus on answering EV-related questions, such as where to charge or which EV to buy.
Personalized Support: The chatbot will offer customized advice based on the driver’s location, needs, and government incentives available to them. Eventually, drivers will be able to speak directly to the assistant, which will also respond audibly.
EV Mentorship Program: Uber will also introduce a program where experienced EV drivers can become mentors, earning cash rewards for guiding new drivers through the EV ownership experience.
EV-Only Rides: Uber Green will soon feature an EV-only option in 40 cities, giving riders the choice to exclusively ride in electric vehicles.
