Meet your own personal AI Agent, for everything…Proxy
Imagine if you had a digital clone to do your tasks for you. Well, meet Proxy…
Last week, Convergence, the London based AI start-up revealed Proxy to the world, the first general AI Agent.
Users are asking things like “Book my trip to Paris and find a restaurant suitable for an interview” or “Order a grocery delivery for me with a custom weekly meal plan”.
You can train it how you choose, so all Proxy’s are different, and personalised to how you teach it. The more you teach it, the more it learns about your personal work flows and begins to automate them.

OpenAI is reportedly collaborating with Broadcom to create custom silicon tailored for its AI needs, aiming for production readiness by 2026. This move includes a dedicated chip team and a secured manufacturing partnership with TSMC.
The Details:
Custom Chip Development: OpenAI has assembled a team of around 20, including former Google engineers, to design specialized AI chips.
Manufacturing Partnership: The custom chips will be produced by TSMC, where OpenAI has secured manufacturing capacity.
Interim Solution: While developing its own hardware, OpenAI will continue to rely on Nvidia’s H100 and AMD’s MI300X chips for AI training and inference via Microsoft Azure.
OpenAI’s move into custom AI chips shows just how important it is to control the tech behind powerful AI models. With industry giants like Google and Microsoft already far along in their own chip designs, OpenAI’s new approach could help level the playing field in the AI hardware race. If OpenAI succeeds, it could make their models more efficient and even bring down costs—a win for the future of AI.
META

Meta is teaming up with GelSight and Wonik Robotics to create high-tech tactile sensors aimed at helping AI understand the physical world in new ways. While not for consumers, these sensors will be valuable tools for researchers focused on AI and robotics.
The Details:
Digit 360 Sensor: Built with GelSight, this advanced sensor acts like a human fingertip, detecting details like vibrations, heat, and even smells. It will be available to researchers next year, helping AI interpret touch more like we do.
Enhanced Allegro Hand: Meta and Wonik are enhancing the Allegro Hand, a robotic hand that, with sensors like Digit 360, can send real-time touch data back to a computer, making robotic interactions more nuanced.
Research Access: Meta is calling for proposals from researchers to gain early access to Digit 360 and experiment with this breakthrough in touch technology.
With sensors that mimic human touch, Meta is bringing AI a step closer to interacting with the world more naturally. This technology could lead to impressive strides in robotics, making machines more aware and adaptable in real-world settings.
