Snapchat AI turns prompts into new lens
Snapchat previewed an on-device AI model for transforming surroundings with AR, letting creators turn text prompts into custom lenses. New AI tools in Lens Studio, such as Immersive ML and 3D asset generation, will enable creators to enhance user experiences. Users will start seeing these lenses soon, with creator access by year-end.

Microsoft drops Florence-2
Microsoft’s Azure AI team released Florence-2, a vision foundation model on Hugging Face, handling tasks like captioning and object detection. With 232M and 771M parameter sizes, it performs on par with larger models, trained on a dataset with 126 million images and 5.4 billion annotations. Florence-2 simplifies diverse vision applications, reducing the need for multiple models and cutting compute costs.
