Google has started rolling out powerful new features to Gemini that allow it to analyze your surroundings in real time using your deviceās camera or screen ā part of its larger Project Astra vision.
The Details:
Gemini Live now supports live video and screen sharing ā rolling out to Android users subscribed to the Google One Premium plan.
It processes real-time visuals and gives spoken, natural-language answers, similar to OpenAIās vision feature in ChatGPT.
Built on Gemini 2.0ās Multimodal Live API, it offers better latency, memory, and dialogue handling with external tool support.
Google also added Audio Overviews (from NotebookLM) and image generation/editing via Gemini 2.0 Flash.

Norwegian robotics startup 1X is getting ready to bring its humanoid robot, Neo Gamma, into peopleās homes by the end of 2025. CEO Bernt BĆørnich confirmed the rollout during Nvidiaās GTC 2025 event, calling it a major step in training robots for real-world environments.
The Details:
Neo Gamma will be tested in āa few hundred to a few thousandā homes with help from early adopters.
The robot isnāt fully autonomous yet ā human teleoperators will assist remotely by controlling its movements when needed.
In-home trials will generate real-world data to train 1Xās AI systems, with users able to control when the robot streams its surroundings
Neo Gamma features upgraded onboard AI and a soft nylon suit to make human-robot interaction safer.
